Playgrounds can offer children and families lots of opportunity for fun and learning - but serious playground injury is no fun at all.
Kidsafe WA's Playground Advisory Service (PAS) provides a range of services to help you create and maintain play spaces that support children's development, learning, health and wellbeing while reducing the risk of serious injury.
Our Playground Advisors have a range of qualifications and experience and have worked with child care, schools, community groups and local government over many years.
They are also accredited* Level 2 & 3 Playground Inspectors, and are independent from playground manufacturers and retailers.
* Accredited through University of Technology Sydney, School of Engineering - nationally recognised leader in playground inspection training.

Playground Inspection Workshops
These workshops cover what to look for when checking playgrounds for safety hazards and how to check for compliance with the Australian Standards and include:
* Typical Playground Injuries
* Current Australian Standards
* How to assess playground equipment for compliance
with standards
* Hands-on auditing practice using playground safety
testing tools
* Strategies for improving inspection and maintenance
routines.

Kids Play - Naturally Workshops
Our interactive natural playspace workshops cover ways to create playspaces that support children's development, learning and wellbeing and provide opportunities for them to explore and connect with nature in a safe environment. Workshops can include strategies to meet outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework.

Advisory Service
Information can be provided by phone and e-mail or one of our Playground Advisors can visit your playground to discuss safety and design ideas to enhance children's play, learning and safety.

Comprehensive Audit Inspections
Our accredited Playground Inspectors can inspect your playground for compliance against the Australian Standards and provide a written report with prioritised recommendations.
